Unfortunately, the Bruce Robinson/Johnny Depp project-based on Hunter S. If The Rum Diary had come out in July, it would have passed as a totally respectable, rum-soaked summer flick with beautiful scenery, beautiful people, gorgeous cars, and zero character development.
